ENERGY GUARD The Energy Guard Retrofit Kit by APS Resource provides a perimeter seal along the sides and rear hinge of dock levelers, blocking dirt, debris and pests, and preventing energy loss. The patent-pending design incorporates a series of triangular shaped side seal assemblies combined with a two-ply rear hinge seal to restrict mass airflow. This design seals the gaps between the dock leveler and concrete pit walls up to 9” above dock level. Energy Guard stops the air flow around the sides and rear of the dock leveler and stops heat and energy loss. There are no parts or assemblies installed under the dock leveler or on the pit floor and no fabric exposed to the face of the loading dock wall to be torn or damaged by trailers and debris. And because it has no mechanical components or springs, it requires no scheduled maintenance.
