The new cordless PowerScan PM8500 imager offers omnidirectional reading of 1D and 2D codes, operating with a scalable communications system that covers a wide working area without Wi-Fi interference. Features include communication between operator and host through a three-key pad and backlit recessed graphic display, a mega-pixel sensor, and intuitive aiming mechanism with a double-click trigger for accurate bar code alignment on menu sheets and pick lists. The unit's tool-free removable battery pack lasts for 30,000 transmission and reading cycles. It can be used in indoor and outdoor environments and in temperatures ranging from 14°F to122°F.
